My colleague Stefan demonstrated how you can use the “ voice recorder online ” app (4.99 euros) on the iPad for music recordings and DJ acts . It is certainly a practical solution for vocals, especially since you can sing directly on the existing tracks. But although the Apple software is also suitable for your own voice and there are even a few fine options for alienating it, the app is not really comfortable for pure voice recordings.


The manufacturer of my microphone has published its own application, " RØDE Rec ". The advantage here is that the microphone is automatically optimally set. In addition, there are many tuning options to enable a good recording even in poor room conditions. Only: only the entry-level version is free, the pro version costs 5.99 euros. Even buyers of a Røde microphone have to pay the full price.


But there are still a few good to very good apps that can be used to record the voice. I really like " Recorder App ", the lite version is free. This is enough to recite short texts of up to three minutes in length and also offers some editing options. My favorite for speaking texts, however, is the free basic version of the " Ferrite " app . At first glance, the surface looks very reduced. But it offers great opportunities to optimize the recording. Several sound tracks are possible and can be easily assigned to different projects. Especially as a podcaster or if you want to record your own radio play, you are sure to enjoy the program.
